Packaging & Branding Design for a Swedish Non-Alcoholic Beverage.

In this project, I was tasked with creating the name, branding, and packaging for a small Sweden-based non-alcoholic beverage. The brief called for a brand that felt unique and distinctly Swedish. With more people choosing to forgo alcohol without sacrificing social connection, I chose the name Skål, a Scandinavian toast that instantly evokes celebration and good times. Visually, I drew on Sweden’s deep history, incorporating rune-inspired symbols arranged like constellations, an homage to the country’s long, dramatic nights and bright summer days. The palette reflects both the drink’s bold flavours and Sweden’s natural beauty, creating a beverage people enjoy and celebrate without irony. The result is a brand that celebrates Swedish culture, honours the night, and lets you remember it too.

To bring Skål's concept to life in marketing, I leaned into the idea of lucidity and memory, not just in terms of sobriety, but nostalgia. The campaign draws on early 2000s visual language: disposable cameras, amateur angles, and lo-fi textures. Clear but unpolished, the imagery echoes the carefree confidence of that era, giving the brand a lived-in, human edge that complements its timeless Scandinavian foundation.
